A natural and relaxed style for your wedding day
My style of wedding photography will capture the atmosphere of the day, with my relaxed and discreet manner putting everyone at ease throughout the wedding. I use both formal and informal shots to capture the mood of your wedding day and to reflect the personalities of the bride and groom, using natural light wherever possible. Formal shots can be taken quickly and then I will continue to work unobtrusively, recording you both with close family and friends enjoying this special time together. My finish is stylish, elegant, classic and will stand the test of time - no wacky filters or computer actions!
Your wedding - your choice
There will be a large number of photographs from which to choose. Any of the images can be produced in colour, black & white or sepia. If you wish on the day you can choose a favourite location nearby, where you can have some special photography taken - such as along a beach or in the countyside.

Frequently asked questions
-
Can we see samples of your wedding photographs?
Absolutely! I consider this essential, not only to allow you to form your own judgements of my work, but also of me. You need to feel comfortable with me around, so that I can get the best images. Typically when you enquire about my services, I suggest a meeting at the studio were I can show samples of weddings that I have taken. I encourage all my clients to try and meet me first, but I understand that this isn't always possible if you live a fair distance away.
-
I see that you are based in Weymouth - what areas do you cover for weddings?
I mainly cover the Dorset area, but I have covered weddings in Cornwall, Devon and Hampshire ... and even Milton Keynes without a street map!
-
Do you provide proofs for our wedding photographs?
I provide an online proofing service, rather than physical prints. Around 2 weeks after your wedding I will post all photographs on my website, in a special gallery (which is password protected).
-
What style of wedding photography do you shoot?
I mix 2 different styles during a typical wedding. The 2 main photography styles are:
Photojournalistic (candid) - this will usually dominate my style. I try and keep out of the way of proceedings, and record simply what happens, capturing key moments and emotions. This style is usually very popular with my clients. Typically about 80-90% of my images will be photojournalistic.
The next style for my wedding photographs is more traditional formal/posed shots - eg all the family shots. When you book me for your wedding, I will ask you to make a list of any special requests you have for group/formal shots, beyond the standard formal shots (eg full-length dress shots of the bride). We may also shoot formal/posed shots at locations away from the main proceedings for the bride and groom.

What type of Wedding Albums do you use?
Wedding albums range so much in price, colour and style, that I have decided not to include them in my wedding packages - I prefer to give you the freedom to choose your own. I do have a wide collection of hand-made albums available and a selection of these are on display in the gallery.

How do I book you for my wedding?
When you are happy with everything and want to go ahead and book, to reserve a date in my weddings calendar, I'll need a non-returnable booking deposit of £200 and a signed contract
The contract can be downloaded here.I do not 'hold' wedding dates and will only confirm a booking when the form and payment are received. This is the only way I feel I can be fair If I have multiple requests for weddings on the same day.
I accept wedding bookings anytime, but bear in mind that I am usually booked at least a year in advance for a lot of the Saturday weddings in 'high season', ie July to September.
I look forward to hearing from you!
with thanks, Brian.
